The Bard was the person who's stories were told in written and spoken word, in days of past. Most stories were handed from person to person, generation to generation. The bard was an important person in the ancient community. Historian, author and according to Wikipedia; The term acquired generic meanings of an epic author/singer/narator (compare with the terms in other cultures: minstrel, skald, rhapsode, udgatar, griot) or any poets, especially famous ones. For example, William Shakespeare is known as The Bard. Because there was no TV, Radio, Internet, and Mail was not reliable or would take months to send even the most simple message...The Bard was the script keeper of life. Stories that were told were sometimes fabricated to entertain, and sometimes the most elaborate story, that no one could ever believe was ultimately true. The spoken word was magical. The Spoken word that was written down was prized. So even a short script would delight those who were able to read. Please feel free to be a bard, even for just a short moment. Write your works, link to this site, and share your talent and eloquence with the most magnificent words...You may post your works, and others, but please do site anything that is coming from someone else with a small bibliography.
